As the Engineering consultant's drawings show less detail and more notes, the Electrical
Contractor is faced with increased design responsibility and liability. The Electrical
Engineering of a project is no longer solely the responsibility of a separate design firm,
but a combined effort between the consultant's "Scope Documents" and the
contractor interpretation and level of experience. Even some "Design/Build"
cases, the contractor is completely responsible for the design.
Fortunately, McWilliams Electric Company has met this challenge with an aggressive
commitment to a "Qualified" Engineering Service Team. Above and beyond a
glorified CADD department, we have on staff, Licensed Professional Engineers and
Electrical Designers. All are fluent in the latest design codes and practices, and all are
capable of CADD production.

fiber optic (OTDR) and enhanced Category 5 UTP testing and documentation.
Design of Emergency Power Back-up Systems, including On-Site generation
and UPS Battery Systems.
Electrical Systems trouble shooting: LAN Workstation Connection
Failures, High Neutral Currents, Faulty Grounding, Voltage Variations, Overheated
Equipment, etc.
We have the Expertise and the experience to survey the sites, within
local area or any remote location, to review Power, Lighting, Telecommunications,
EM-power, trouble-shoot existing problems and any other electrical related problems. We
typically will document the major components of that system with floor plans , elevations
and digital photos, and submit a report to the owner with suggested corrective options.
