Celebrating Over 85 Years of Quality Service, McWilliams Electric Company, was incorporated in 1922 as an Electrical Contractor performing electrical construction, engineering, and maintenance nationally, as well as locally, in Illinois. Having established ourselves as a service oriented, customer-aware electrical contractor since inception, McWilliams Electric prides itself on its list of satisfied repeat customers.

As an indication of our pride in offering the latest state of the art in electrical innovation, McWilliams’ is a BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer , a certified Telecom Infrastructure Design and Build firm, as well as a certified Telecom, Fiber / Copper Cable E.I.A. / T.I.A. testing and certification company. This includes fiber-optics, broadband technology, “smart building” applications, and tele-data work. We can provide everything from supplying complete systems to wiring service, including all tele/data changes, additions, or reductions. We are effectively providing the same service that was done by AT&T before divestiture. However, we can accomplish it at a great savings to you and with more overall efficiency.
No matter how technologically advanced the Electrical Industry becomes, there are key elements that will always remain. They include Service Feeders, High Voltage, and Back Up installations. These systems are the back bone of any building and need to have the proper installation and terminations to support the building. To properly install these systems, you need the appropriate equipment and trained employees to perform the installation. McWilliams has been installing Service Feeders, High Voltage, and Back Up systems for the past 88 years and during that time has designed and developed different installation methods depending on the scope, location, and needs of each individual site.
Another feature that keeps McWilliams ahead of the pace is our in-house Engineering Division. McWilliams is a fully insured design / build contractor that can design your project and carry it all the way through to electronic As-Built drawings when the job is completed.
